Handling Tricky Client Questions During Euthanasia with Grace and Confidence
presented by Dr. Kathleen Cooney
Live webinar via Zoom on January 27 at 7:30pm ET
Sponsored by:

Grieving clients say and do unexpected things during euthanasia appointments. Whether they’re thinking clearly or lost in sorrow, their questions and expectations may not align with what the veterinary team can ethically or medically provide. Examples include asking to feed highly unusual foods, film the procedure, administer the injection themselves, or keep a piece of the body. Many clients ask if their pet knows what’s happening to them and why. In this session, we’ll explore what clients seek with such questions and how to respond in a way that meets their emotional needs while honoring the team’s boundaries. Come prepared to share unique client experiences and leave with practical, compassionate responses.
- Appreciate what motivates clients to ask questions and achieve outcomes
- Learn useful phrases and responses to tricky client questions
- Create practice guidelines for the whole team to leverage
Participants will earn 1 RACE-approved CE credit upon successful completion of the quiz after viewing the webinar.
