Available through December 31, 2024.
Pre-euthanasia sedation or anesthesia prior to euthanasia enhances the experience for everyone involved—including the pet—and allows the caregiver to witness their pet at peace before the final farewell. Anesthesia allows alternate routes to be used for euthanasia if intravenous access is not possible.
This webinar will cover:
- Which drugs or drug combinations to use for sedation or anesthesia.
- How to individualize drug choices for each patient.
- Differentiating sedation from anesthesia.
- Which routes of administration can be utilized for drug administration.
- How the drugs chosen for sedation or anesthesia affect the onset of action of euthanasia drugs.
Participants will earn 1 RACE-approved CE credit upon successful completion of the quiz after viewing the webinar.
