Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, headquartered in Lutz, FL., seeks to add a key member to its growing team by employing a dynamic Veterinary Care Coordinator Recruiter to support our Recruiting department. This individual will play an instrumental role in Lap of Love’s day-to-day operations by ensuring the successful hire of Veterinary Care Coordinators to maintain appropriate staffing within the Support Center, ultimately supporting the growth of the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting campaigns, employing traditional sourcing strategies, as well as developing new and creative recruiting ideas. The Veterinary Care Coordinator Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent, thus reducing employee turnover, by vetting applicant resumes, applications, and assessments, and conducting first level interviews to determine which candidates are the best to move forward in the interview process. Additionally, this person is responsible for maintaining the recruiting pipeline in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and providing employment offers to the selected candidates.
Requirements
- Understand, implement, and lead the Veterinary Care Coordinator recruiting process from start to finish
- Create job postings via the ATS, Workable
- Create and maintain a talent pool of qualified candidates, appropriately documenting interview notes and using Workable to track candidates
- Successfully vet resumes, applications, and assessments, ultimately selecting the most qualified candidates who meet the position requirements to move forward in the interview process
- Conduct interviews and filter candidates for open positions
- Assist in the creation of recruiting and interview guides for all levels of the interview process
- Work individually and with your direct manager, along with others within the People & Planning department, to develop recruiting strategies and evaluate the success of hired applicants.
- Build networks to identify qualified, passive, and actively seeking candidates
- Conduct multiple virtual interviews daily
- Collaborate with the Support Center department to determine hiring needs
- Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates, and research other new avenues via the internet for recruiting
- Coordinate final interviews with the Support Center Advisors or other team members as appropriate
- Present verbal offers and follow up with candidates regarding offer documents.
- Prepare and send offer letters and agreements
- Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates and follow up with candidates in all stages of the recruiting process
- Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices, helping to guide others involved in recruiting in these practices
- Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the Support Center and People & Planning team
Experience, Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources, business administration or psychology or equivalent experience, preferred
- Prior recruiting or Human Resources experience of at least 1-2 years, preferred
- Prior experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), particularly Workable, preferred
- Veterinary industry experience, preferred
- Ability to effectively recruit qualified candidates
- Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
- Excellent and effective interpersonal communication skills, including oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively work individually and in a team environment
- Skills in database management and record-keeping
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential information of Human Resources work
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly, gathering and analyzing information skillfully
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions
Physical and Other Job Requirements:
- Able to sit for prolonged periods of time of up to 8 hours per day
- Able to frequently communicate by telephone and through use of computer technologies, including but not limited to email and video conferencing
- Possess manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to operate a computer, read a computer screen and type on a keyboard for prolonged periods of time of up to 8 hours per day
- Able to multitask using multiple computer tabs/platforms while engaging in conversation
- Average or above average working knowledge of computers, email, video conferencing technologies, and digital medical records
- Able to quickly learn custom software and other programs, such as Zoom, Sunshine, and Google Suite
- Average or above average working knowledge of the internet and scheduling and communications applications and software, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and web-based communication platforms
- Access to reliable and secure internet
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient, client, and business information
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines
